School shooting survivor Sadie, her mother Terry, and Sadie's best friend Elyse struggle to reconcile the night before the rest of Sadie's classmates return to school without her.
Hair Trigger was directed as a thesis film at New York University that went on to screen at several film festivals including the ReelAbilities Film Festival: New York, Capital City Film Festival, and Trenton Film Festival. Taylor earned a Faculty Commendation in Directing at NYU's New Visions and Voices Film Festival along with being a festival finalist. A partnership with Community Access was reached through the Changing Minds Young Filmmakers Competition to screen alongside other films portraying mental health issues affecting young people in high schools and colleges with a discussion guide.
